From the podcast preview, I was really looking forward to the compare/contrast of Basecamp, Explore, and Garmin Connect. Frankly Andy was all over the place and I sort of lost the bubble during the discussion. Hopefully the future videos mentioned describing the tools will be more pointed.
It was also stated the Basecamp is only useful with devices that have on board mapping because Basecamp needs those maps to plan a route. Basecamp is capable of installing offline maps (like OSM maps) for route planning without the need of a GNSS device. This has been my workflow for years planning and loading courses onto my Instinct (1 & 2X) and fenix/Epix watches.
